Wildcats Fall To Wyoming East In Class AA Quarterfinals
The Logan Wildcats saw their season come to an end as they fell to the Wyoming East Warriors, 81-56, in the West Virgnia Class AA Boys Basketball semifinals on Wednesday at the Charleston Civic Center.
The Warriors (21-2) jumped out of the gate quickly and held an 18-12 lead at the end of the opening period. The advantage grew to 38-26 at the intermission.
After a fast paced third quarter, Wyoming East still held a 58-44 lead heading into the final quarter. The Warriors were able to pull away from Logan (11-14) down the stretch.
Lucas Lambert and Bentley Williamson paced Logan with 16 points each. Ivan Miller added 14 points. Landon Hall chipped in with 6 points. Alex Good and CJ Branham finished with 2 points apiece.
Broc Johnson led Wyoming East with 30 points. Talan Muscari followed with 14 points. Keegan Davidson fired in 11 points. Konnor Fox added 10 points.
Wyoming East will play Bluefield in the semifinal round on Friday morning at 9:30 am.
