Man Downs Wahama To Advance In Regional Tournament.
The Man Hillbillies advanced to the Class A Region IV Co-Final as they defeated the Wahama White Falcons, 57-49, on the road on Thursday.
The 5th seed Hillbillies jumped out of the gate quickly and took a 14-8 lead after the first quarter. However, 4th seed Wahama fought back to take a 25-16 lead at the intermission.
Man clawed back into it a little and cut the lead to 36-30 heading into the final period of play. The Hillbillies were able to out score Wahama, 27-13 in the final period to get the win.
Grayson Sanders led Man with 21 points. Jaxon Vance followed with 19 points. Noah Frazier added 7 points. Adex Martin had 4 points. Connor Booth, Bryson Wingler and Landon Cantrell finished with 2 points each.
Man will next play at top seed Tug Valley in the Class A Region IV Co-Final on Wednesday in Naugatuck.
