Lady Tigers Down Tug Valley
The 7th ranked (Class AAA) Chapmanville Lady Tigers got a nice win on the road over the 2nd ranked (Class A) Tug Valley Lady Panthers, 10-3, on Monday in Naugatuck.
For the Lady Tigers, Evy Altizer had 3 doubles and 2 RBIs. Megan Brown had 2 hits, including a double and 3 RBIs. Peyton Lusk added 2 hits, including a double and 2 RBIs. Mady Farley hit a triple and recorded 2 RBIs.
For Tug Valley, Bailee Hall had 2 hits, including her 11th homer of the season and 1 RBI. Emma Lackey had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Katie Hall added a single.
In the pitcher's circle, Zoe Noe-Chaney got the win, allowing only 2 earned runs on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts over 7 innings pitched. Lackey was given the loss.
