Commodores Defeat Rival Hazard
The Perry County Central Commodores got a huge 13-5 win on the road over the cross town rival Hazard Bulldogs on Saturday.
For the Commodores, Dylan Elkins had 3 hits, including a double, 1 RBI and 4 runs scored. Tate Watts blasted a home run and recorded 3 RBIs. Sheldon Ritchie had a double and 3 RBIs. Connor Perkins added a double and 2 RBIs. Parker Maggard had a double. Corbin Wooton had a single and 1 RBI. Devin Gayhart and Bryson Johnson each had a single.
On the mound, Gayhart got the win, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits while striking out 5 batters over 5.2 innings pitched.
For Hazard, Tucker Napier had 3 hits and 1 RBI. Ross Logan had 2 hits. Jakoby Little crushed a home run and recorded 2 RBIs. Trace Kincaid recorded a hit and 1 RBI. Izaiah Johnson and Kolton Kincaid each had a hit.
Johnson was given the loss for the Bulldogs.
